I am an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Sacred Heart University, where I have been teaching since 2010. Previously, I taught at Baruch College, CUNY while completing my Ph.D. in Mathematics Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.

My research interests include undergraduate mathematics education, the mathematical preparation of teachers, international comparative mathematics education, and the history of mathematics.  See my research page for more information and copies of my publications.

In terms of teaching, I am particularly interested in Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) and incorporating primary historical sources in courses across the mathematics curriculum.  You can find more information about past and current courses on my teaching page.
